I had to have an emergency extraction and they worked so fast to get me in for an appointment. Once in my appointment Paxton and his assistant were absolutely wonderful. I have to say as someone who struggles with dentist anxiety and white coat phobia in general very badly and avoids dentists at all costs most times this was one of the easiest, fastest, quickest, and most painless extraction I’ve ever had done!! If I could give more than 5 starts I would!! Definitely recommend for any dental work needed!!

The first appointment was for an extraction, so this appointment was for a total mouth and teeth evaluation plus teeth cleaning. Dr Spence Vlosich is very good. I highly recommend him for your teeth needs! Even after taking over his father's practice, he still has respect for all generations, and is very courteous and listens to your needs. If an emergency arises, his staff does everything possible to get you in quickly and remedy any situation! If he's not in, most likely his other two partners, Dr Houston or Dr Short will see you that day!

This office is so great! I just switched over to them from my previous dentist (who I’ve gone to for over 20 years) and it was such a great experience! All of the staff I interacted with were very nice and professional! At my last appointment, I had to get a filling and was very nervous since I had a traumatic experience with my previous dentist. With Dr. Drew Vlosich and his amazing dental assistant, the filling was completely painless, quick, and easy! They answered all of my questions and made sure I was comfortable before we got started and throughout the entire procedure! I also had a dental cleaning with Kristina and she was great! Very gentle and she gave my teeth a wonderful cleaning! I don’t think my teeth had ever been so clean after a professional cleaning until I went to her! She is also one of the kindest souls I have ever met! I 100% recommend Short and Vlosich!

Had a crown on an in-plant from 2011 fall out over the weekend. Called the office on Monday and they got me in on Tuesday morning. Got right in without waiting. Had the area cleaned and crown reset and adjusted in short order. The tooth has always made my gums hurt around it but it feels better now than it ever has. Everyone in the office is cheerful and a pleasure to deal with.

I have been a patient of Dr. Short as well as my family as long as I can remember. The staff is always very caring.
The dental side of the house is just ok. The billing and admin side of the house is not that great. We have had a couple of issues with transferring information to our oral surgeon and with billing the correct insurance company. Also, the dentist suggested a get something done temporarily, but I have not heard from any of his staff on this. It is like the Dentist suggests something then he walks away and assumes others are going to follow up with the patient.

I just had an appointment with Dr. Drew Vlosich and as a 20 year Dental professional myself, my opinion based on his work and his care of his patients is that he is the BEST DENTIST IN AMARILLO TEXAS!! EXCELLENT!! Highly recommend!!! His Dental Assistant Chloe is wonderful! I had my teeth cleaned by Hannah and I give her 5 stars too!!! Great office staff too...Ashley and Andrea are awesome!!!

Spencer and his team are always really nice. Cami is an amazing hygienist and the best with kids. I won’t say I enjoy my experiences there because it IS the dentist after all, but I like the personnel that work there and always feel comfortable. They definitely make getting dental work done a lot easier.

This was my second visit to Dr Short’s office. I was evaluated for a crown prep on my first visit and to my surprise he agreed to put a crown where I thought it would simply be pulled. I waited out in the car till my room was ready. I’ll have to say this was the most pleasant visit I’ve had at a dental office. My wait was very minimal after arriving and the procedure went on without any blemishes or surprises. Dr Short is very professional and talented in his practice. I would highly recommend him to anyone.

Linde has been my hygienist for over 5 years. She is always friendly, timely, & thorough. I love being able to schedule an early morning cleaning @ 7am so as not to have to worry about missing work. All the staff & doctors are nice helpful as well. I also like the text reminders of appointments since I only come in twice a year.
Dr Houston and Dr Houston the son have been my dentist for the last 30 plus years, wouldn't even consider going anywhere else, when you have the best you stick with it!

I don’t usually leave reviews but this is worthy of one. I have been to many different dentist over the years until I found HVS. They have been the most thorough and helpful dentist I or my family has ever been too. On top of that I just found out they became “out of network” for my dental insurance and we were upset that we may have to find another provider, only to learn they are going to wave the balance remaining from what my insurance won’t pay! They are the ONLY dentist group that has ever done this for us. I truly can’t say how impressed I am with this group! They have been nothing short of spectacular in our book. Very courteous and patient oriented.

I have been going to this office for over 11 years. I first went to Dr Ed Vlosich and then transferred to Dr Spence Vlosich when Ed retired. I have always been pleased with the Dental work I have had as well as the cleanings from the Hygienist. I would highly recommend the practice.
I had a gum,TMJ, tissue issue. Called the office yesterday they got me in the very next day. Dr Vlosich did a very thorough exam, asked me questions. Took xrays and made a decision about what should be done. The whole staff including the doctors are very courteous, caring and helpful. Dr. Vlosich did my dental work for me these last couple of months and I must honestly say he's the best dentist in Amarillo that I've been to and I have been to @ least twelve dentists over the last two years. He's very professional, does excellent work and he didn't lie to me and tell me he could do this or that, like so many other dentists did after paying thousands of dollars, but did what he said he could accomplish. After waiting 50 years for a beautiful smile, Dr. Vlosich has made that dream come true ( and his assistant too, unfortunately I can't remember how to spell her name - sorry girl!). If you want a REAL dentist, I suggest you call his office and make an appointment. I've only got my temporary teeth in, but I know in two weeks my permanent teeth will be amazing, and I owe it all to Dr. Vlosich. A beautiful smile is so important, especially when you've never once smiled in a picture showing your teeth. Well I can't wait to smile this Christmas showing my teeth and not having to be embarrassed with ugly spaced tiny teeth. Thank you Dr. Vlosich for making my dream come true.. My visit to "any" dentist is never my best place to be ! So today one of my caps to my tooth fell out and so I called to scheduled an appointment for today this morning and got my appt. for 2:30 pm I got there at 2:25 and it was as if they were waiting for me ! The attendant took me straight to the room and Dr. VLOSICH came right in and we talk for a second with him and he new exactly what to do , he cleaned my tooth and after a few minutes he glued my cap back in place and I was ready to leave ! I've been a patient since I was a kid and had Dr. Jared Houston's father as my dentist. Naturally, when I got married my kids saw the dentists and office staff there too. Dr. Houston did my "gold tooth" when is was broken 15 years ago and it is still going great. Now that the kids are moved away my wife had to get dentures and they turned that scary experience into an easy and educational experience. Barring moving away from Amarillo I will always use their office and recommend them to friends and neighbors.
Dr. Short is amazing!! Our whole extended family see him for dental needs! He is a superhero in our book! He gets business taken care of!! The office staff are very friendly and professional as well! What a comfortable place to go when you feel nervous about the dentist.
